About Us
Since its inception, State of the World Forum has convened conferences designed for deep dialogue on issues of global importance; invited to these discussions individuals from a spectrum of disciplines and from around the world, including youth, in a spirit of collaborative inquiry and mutual respect;
challenged all stakeholders to transform what they have come to know about the world into constructive actions, projects, Strategic Initiatives and independent organizations; and built a global coalition of leaders and institutions willing to work together in an integrative manner on issues of mutual concern.
International Conferences
Since 1995, the Forum has convened international conferences that connect leaders and thinkers who may not traditionally interact, but who are united in a shared sense of responsibility for our collective future. From 2004 – 2008 the Forum conducted research on global trends and prepared for the 2009 State of the World Forum: Networking Creativity to Solve Global Challenges, to be convened in Washington DC November 9 – 15, 2009.
Strategic Initiatives

Global Broadcasts
Over its history, the State of the World Forum has partnered with both CNN
and BBC World Television to produce live global broadcasts of selected Forum
events. These media activities have been convened to provide maximum public involvement in our activities and to generate substantive debate on fundamental global issues.
