The
conclusions of these streams of collaborative work will come together
in the publication of the Commission's Final Report and be presented
at the World Forum on Globalization, a major world conference that the
Commission and its partners plan to convene in late 2003 or early 2004.
It is presently anticipated that a significant portion of the World
Forum on Globalization would be made available via public webcast and
that highlights of the event would be distributed via television and
radio broadcasts. The Final Report will be sent to all Heads of State,
UN agencies, and major international institutions.
The Commission
intends to draw on the State of the World Forum’s extensive history
and expertise of successfully producing international conferences.
The Forum has collaborated on the production of these events and their
communication and educational outreach programs with a number of respected
event production and media companies, including:
-
e2k/Olmstead
Productions has been the Forum’s executive producer and production
management partner since the inception of its activities in 1995.
e2k serves as the special events production consultant to the National
Football League and the San Francisco 49ers, and has produced large-scale
events ranging from the Super Bowl and the World Cup Opening Ceremonies
to the US Conference of Mayors Gala.
-
BBC
World and CNN have partnered with the Forum to produce
public affairs television specials recorded live-to-tape at its
annual international gatherings.
-
Real
Networks and Salon.com partnered with the Forum at Forum
2000 in New York to produce unprecedented webcast and journalistic
coverage of the conference. Each partner has expressed an interest
in continuing to support the webcasting of future Commission events.
After
the World Conference and dissemination of the Final Report, there
will be a focused effort to encourage national governments to convene
a conference of governments to consider and implement reforms to the
global system of governance.
